Christmas Lights

Before the season is completely over, I thought I'd post some images from the lights this year:

I love the ornament reflection and the shot of the tree. They are really well framed and the dynamic using the environment is strong.

You're so kind to check in on my work like this! Thanks for your comments; it's so good to hear from you... I miss your fabulous mentoring and tutelage (perhaps I'll run into you on campus - I'm taking an advanced PS class at DVC this coming term - or stop by your office to see you).

I've kept photographing pretty prolifically on my own (posting on Fickr for the most part, where I have a feed to my Beauty Dialogues blog), and am feeling ready to jump to the next level of equipment.

I'm currently scoping out the Canon 40D for a new camera body (since I've been happy with Canon and LOVE my 60mm macro lens, which I'd hate to have to replace). The body upgrade might be a bit pricey for me right now, but I at least need a better zoom, so am looking at the Canon 70-200.

I'm going to be exploring deals at MacWorld this week so let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions on either of these choices... Thanks!

Hope you are well and happy and continuing to make your sublime art... what's the latest on your book? Any exhibitions coming up?

Hugs,

Amy
